Beta

These are beta terms. The Service is in private beta, and these Terms may change as the product develops. When they do, we'll notify you by email or an in-product notice — see Section 10, "Changes to these terms."

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the iGrow News MCP service (the "Service"), available at mcp.igrownews.com, operated by AgTech Media Group / iGrow News ("we," "us," "our"). By connecting to the Service — whether through Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other AI assistant or client — you ("you," "subscriber," "member") agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not connect to or use the Service.

1. What this is

iGrow News MCP gives paying iGrow Network members AI-tool access to AgTech industry news and analytics — funding rounds, company and investor intelligence, and related market data — sourced from iGrow News's proprietary editorial database. Instead of a dashboard, the Service exposes a set of tools ("MCP tools") that your AI assistant calls on your behalf to answer questions in natural language.

This is a private beta. That means, specifically:

  • Features, tool names, response formats, and data coverage may change, be added, or be removed without advance notice.
  • We do not guarantee uptime. The Service may be paused for maintenance, upgraded, degraded, or taken offline temporarily, with or without notice.
  • The Service is currently read-only — it cannot modify, delete, or write anything to our systems or yours. If that changes in a future version, we will update these Terms and the product's public description before it ships.
  • Beta status does not reduce your acceptable-use obligations below, and it does not reduce our intellectual-property protections.

2. Accounts & access

  • Access is one seat per person. Credentials — whether a personal access token or an OAuth sign-in — are personal to you and may not be shared, transferred, sublicensed, or used by anyone else, including coworkers, unless they hold their own separate seat.
  • You must connect and authenticate using the email address associated with your paid iGrow Network subscription. Access tied to any other identity is not authorized.
  • We may suspend or revoke your access, without notice, if we reasonably believe a credential or token is being shared, used by multiple people, or used outside the scope of these Terms.
  • You are responsible for keeping your token or sign-in credentials confidential. Tell us right away at hello@igrownews.com if you believe access has been compromised, so we can reissue it.
  • Team or multi-seat arrangements (e.g., a 3-seat Pro deal) are provisioned as multiple individually-assigned seats under these same Terms — each seat is still one person, one credential. Larger or custom engagements may instead be governed by a separate written agreement, which prevails over these Terms where the two conflict.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for your own business use — asking questions through your AI assistant, generating reports, and incorporating summaries or derived insights into your own work product (attribution to iGrow News is encouraged, though not required for your own internal or client-facing use).

You may not:

  • Bulk-export, scrape, systematically crawl, or otherwise extract substantial portions of the underlying database, whether through the MCP tools, automated scripting, or any other method.
  • Resell, republish, redistribute, or sublicense the data or any substantial compilation of it, in raw or lightly-reformatted form, to any third party.
  • Attempt to circumvent tier restrictions, paywalls, rate limits, or seat controls — for example, by sharing a token, probing for undocumented tools, or routing requests through another account.
  • Probe, load-test, penetration-test, or otherwise security-test the Service without our prior written permission.
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, infringes third-party rights, or attempts to reverse-engineer our editorial scoring or weighting methodology.

Using the Service to ask questions and receive answers through your AI assistant — even many questions, even complex ones — is the intended use and is not, by itself, "bulk export" or "scraping." The line we're drawing is between querying for your own use and systematically reconstructing and redistributing the database itself.

We reserve the right to suspend access for any violation of this section, with or without notice, depending on severity.

4. Intellectual property

The iGrow News database — including its compilation, editorial curation, article selection, and any internal scoring or weighting methodology — is the proprietary intellectual property of AgTech Media Group / iGrow News. This is true even though many of the underlying facts (a funding round happened, a company exists) are drawn from public sources: we don't own the facts, but we do own the work of finding, verifying, curating, structuring, and scoring them into this database.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and your active paid subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service and its outputs for your own internal business use. This license does not include any right to resell, redistribute, or create a competing product from the data (see Section 3).

We do not claim ownership over your own work product that incorporates summaries or insights derived from the Service — only over the underlying database and methodology.

5. Subscriptions & billing

  • Access to the Service is included with an active iGrow Network Insights ($39/mo) or Pro ($990/yr) membership, billed through beehiiv and processed by Stripe, under their respective terms of service.
  • Cancellation is handled through the beehiiv-managed subscription platform, not through the MCP service directly. When your subscription lapses, you keep access for a 7-day grace period before it's revoked, to give any billing hiccup time to resolve.
  • We do not hold or process your payment card details — Stripe, via beehiiv, handles all billing.
  • Refunds: during the beta period, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.
  • Larger or team arrangements (multi-seat deals) are billed by separate conversation and invoice/agreement, not through the standard beehiiv self-serve flow.

6. Data & privacy

We hold the following about you as a subscriber: your email address, name, subscription tier, and authentication/session metadata (e.g., sign-in timestamps, token identifiers), plus basic usage logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

We use the following processors to run the Service:

  • WorkOS — authentication (OAuth sign-in via email magic code)
  • Railway — application and database hosting (US region)
  • Stripe, via beehiiv — subscription billing
  • GitHub — encrypted nightly database backups, retained 90 days
  • Google — the editorial source data the Service is built from

We do not hold your payment card information — that lives entirely with Stripe/beehiiv.

Usage logging and retention. To operate and secure the Service we record each tool call your assistant makes — your account name, tier, which tool ran, which parameters you used (their names only), how many rows came back, and any error. We do not record the values you pass — not your search terms, not the companies or investors you look up. Those are never written to our logs. These records are automatically deleted after 90 days, the same window as our backups. We use them to keep the Service running, to investigate faults, and to detect bulk extraction of the kind Section 3 prohibits.

7. Accuracy disclaimer

The data in the Service is compiled from public sources and shaped by editorial judgment. It is provided "as is" for informational purposes only.

This is not investment advice, and it is not a substitute for your own due diligence. Funding figures, company details, and market data may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors. Verify anything material before relying on it for a business, investment, or legal decision.

8. Liability & warranty disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure — this is a beta product, and beta means things break.
  • Our total liability to you arising out of or related to the Service, however framed, will not exceed the total fees you actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
  • We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, even if we were advised of the possibility.

Nothing in this section limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited (for example, in some jurisdictions, liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct).

9. Termination

Either you or we may end this arrangement at any time.

  • You can stop using the Service whenever you like, and can cancel your underlying subscription through the beehiiv-managed billing flow (Section 5).
  • We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms (Section 3 in particular), for non-payment, or — because this is a beta — as part of winding down or materially changing the Service, with reasonable notice where practical.
  • On termination, your access to the Service ends. Sections 4 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Accuracy Disclaimer), 8 (Liability & Warranty Disclaimers), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination, along with any other provision that by its nature should survive.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, especially during the beta period as the product evolves. When we do, we'll notify you by email or an in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't agree with a change, your recourse is to stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

11. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
